Job Description

This local engineering firm is seeking an Administrative Assistant who will serve as the principal clerical and administrative support by carrying out day-to-day activities. You will work Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Responsibilities:

•Provide telephone and receptionist services

•Requisition office supplies, repairs on office equipment, and printing services

•Review outgoing correspondence, reports, etc. for internal consistency and conformance with office procedures, and for format, grammar, and punctuation

•Compose simple or repetitive, non-technical correspondence such as letters of acknowledgement in accordance with a given format, perform typing, stenographic, or transcription duties

•Keep abreast of various procedural requirements

•Receive and control incoming correspondence

•File material and maintain office filing systems

•Reserve rooms for meetings

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

•High School Diploma or GED

•Minimum 2 years’ Administrative Assistant experience

•Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and proprietary software packages

•Must have good spelling, grammar, and communication skills

•Must have an articulate and professional phone presence

•Engineering or construction background is a plus

•Any candidate that is a Notary is a huge plus
