Scope:

Provide speech-language/AAC evaluation, consultation and training services.

Functions:

1. Provide AT evaluation and consultation services, which includes AAC, switch and/or computer access.

2. When necessary and according to policy, implement infection control procedures such as cleaning equipment, disposing of hazardous waste, and cleaning spills of bodily fluids.

3. Complete all necessary documentation of services, required by funding sources and outlined in the Documentation Policy, in a timely manner.

4. Coordinate all scheduling with scheduling specialist.

5. Track all units of service as required by the Documentation P&P.

6. Assist in the selection of materials and equipment, their acquisition and maintenance.

7. Remain current on AT products through research, product demonstrations and staff development.

8. Conduct research on AT products to provide the consumer with the most cost-effective, appropriate solutions.

9. Respond to all inquiries from the funding source regarding justification for recommended equipment.

10. When assigned, fulfill the duties of evaluation coordinator.

11. As a member of the ATECH Team, participate in Team Meetings, collaborate with colleagues and contribute to specific projects.

12. Provide services according to accepted Standards of Practice, ATECH/NH-ATEC Policies and Procedures and Professional Codes of Ethics.

13. In addition to providing quality services, integrate customer service and cost containment strategies into work activities.

14. Represent ATECH Services at public events.

15. Collaborate with staff from other branches of the organization

16. Conduct training activities as assigned.

17. Conduct research activities as assigned.

18. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

2. Holds Certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) granted by ASHA; or meets requirements for CCC and is completing the 9 month CFY required by ASHA.

3. Holds a NH license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of NH or is certifiable for a NH license.
