Job Description

Develop and maintain Ruby language application code

Plan, design, develop, modify, debug and evaluate moderately complex software for functional areas

Analyze existing software or work to formulate logic for moderately complex new systems

Understand the interface requirements and configuration architecture

Create Design Document for the integration

Configure the application points as per specification using Java and Angular

Perform code review, and shake down test and deliver Work in Agile environments

Ability to work on technology Plug-ins, Messaging, API

Strong capabilities in relational databases, message queues, and batch systems

Digital: Ruby on Rails, TOSCA

2+ years of development experience in Ruby and in Cucumber framework

Ability with Ruby programming

3+ years of experience with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts

Configure screen layouts including creation of new screens (PCFs)

Good working knowledge of Ruby/Cucumber Configuration and Integration work areas

Expertise in configuring and developing several areas in Domain (Policy Transactions/Job Configuration Experience implementing multiple Personal LOBs Product Modeling, Quoting, Rating Management, Forms Management, Policy Revisioning, UW Authority, Account Management, Batch Framework and Policy Center Administration)

Experience in configuring operational and administration related parameters such as roles and permissions

Experience working within a development team using Agile methodology to deliver User stories.- Prior experience performing minor and major enhancements and software upgrades

Functional Implementation Maintenance Support project experience

Experience in Personal lines of Insurance business: General Liability or Professional Liability will be a plus

Good knowledge in Ruby and Cucumber Framework along with TOSCA

Ruby Developer with expertise building applications mainly in Insurance Domain

Building Ruby APIs as middle layers
