Production Technicians

- Safely and efficiently prepare and construct sub-assemblies, assemblies and finished products. A production technician may rotate in multiple work cells on a particular product line.

•Use small hand tools or light powered tools to construct sub-assemblies, assemblies, or finished products.

•Operate machinery to fabricate sub-assemblies and/or parts (e.g., roller, beader, spot welder)


- Perform welding applications to steel and sheet metal and may require performing various manufacturing and assembly tasks to produce fireplace and stove products. MIG Welding experience helpful.

•Perform basic welds or tack welds metal parts together using a wire welder.

•Has knowledge of basic commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the welding field.

•Weld steel and/or sheet metal components with welding equipment as specified by standard work.

•May perform basic assembly processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling.


- Performing wet paint to sheet metal and performing repetitive workstation or line assembly operations tasks to produce fireplace and stove products.

•Perform paint process applications to product (i.e., wiping and painting) through a variety of methods.

•Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
