Job Description

Job Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing, management and/or business.

• 5 years Tier 1 plant level operations experience in an automotive environment.

• 2 years proven operational leadership experience.

• Familiar with Quality management, JIT/APQP/OEM, TS16949, ISO 14001.

• Familiar with ISO TS16949 quality & ISO 14000 requirements and procedures.

• Detailed knowledge about Industrial engineering, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement techniques.

• Working knowledge of labor and human resource law.

• Team player familiar with goal setting and achievement process.

• Excellent trouble shooting & problem resolution ability.

• Must demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory ability.

• Must demonstrate strong verbal and written skills as well as the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and management.

• Strong ability to manage time effectively along with strong organizational and presentation skills.

• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, etc.


• Plans, organizes and controls the manufacturing functions of the plant.

• Conducts plant inspections to ensure safe work practices and if necessary, corrective action to assure that procedures and practices are being followed (Responsible for compliance to OSHA and the Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act).

• Leads all assembly operations and coordinates the work of production departments.

• Coordinate work schedules, staffing volume (ratio of indirect to direct labor) and overall cost of doing business to produce parts on schedule and with quality.

• Identify quality/cost problems and take appropriate action including halting production, determining root cause, and initiating corrective actions.

• Responsible for the implementation and compliance with shop floor standards such as BOS, 5S, Policy and Procedures, and Labor Relations Activities.
