Java/J2EE Software Engineer

Open Systems Technologies is seeking a Back-End Software Engineer to support a large government-end client.

Required Qualifications:

CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI w/CI Poly

A software developer with experience in Java development utilizing various libraries such as SpringBoot, Mockito, Lombok, OpenAPI (Swagger) and other similar libraries developing RESTFul services. The software application is managed through Git and built using gradle. Other third-party applications that are utilized is Kafka, MongoDB, ActiveMQ and/or NiFi. Applications are containerized and deployed to a Kubernetes cluster using Helm Charts. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is also desired.

Experience with Java/J2EE object-oriented programming language

Experience with Spring Boot or Spring Framework

Experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker, Bitbucket, Kubernetes, or OpenShift

Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Docker, Bitbucket, Jenkins

Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development

Experience with Linux OS and command line interface Software Engineer, Mid

You Have:

2+ years of experience with Java

1+ years of experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot

Experience with API development, including REST architectural style

Experience with Linux OS and Command Line Interface

Top Secret clearance

HS diploma or GED

Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date Nice If You Have:

Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting

Experience with writing unit tests and E2E testing

Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka

Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Git, and GitLab

Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions

TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph

DoD 8570 certification, including Security+ or CISSP Software Engineer, Senior

5+ years of experience with Java

3+ years of experience in working with microservices and containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot

Experience with API development, including REST architectural style

Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Bitbucket, or Jenkins

Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development

Experience with Linux OS and Command Line Interface

Top Secret clearance

HS diploma or GED

Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date Nice If You Have:

Experience with Open Systems Architecture design principles

Experience with DevOps technologies

Experience with CI/CD technologies, including Ansible, Jenkins, and GIT

Experience with Agile development or Scrum

Knowledge of non-relational databases, including MongoDB

Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka

Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment

Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph

Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
