The Process Engineer will coordinate all die cast related activities, process monitoring and control measures, personnel guidance and continuous improvement for the manufacturing process from melt through cast operations for a gravity die cast aluminum process.


Create and maintain all process monitoring software / failure analysis documentation

Coordinate activities and process between production, design, tooling and scheduling functions

Stay fully abreast of issues in the manufacturing process, recommending areas for continuous improvement of process in terms of quality, productivity, and cost.

Responsible for performing process audits within operations to assess compliance with the work instructions.

Create, update and control process records and work instructions related to the production process.

Recommend corrective and/or preventative actions, new material trials, continuous improvements, and analyzing the results.

Required Skills/Traits/Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

Minimum of three years' experience in Process Engineering in a High Pressure Die Cast Plant, or a combination of work experience and education that demonstrates a high level of die cast competence

A strong grasp of die cast engineering principles

Experience in a quality process management protocol (Six Sigma, Red X, etc.)
