About the Role
This role leads daily maintenance operations at a high-volume food manufacturing facility, focusing on preventative maintenance execution, equipment reliability, and technician development.
Job Responsibilities
Assign and prioritize daily maintenance work orders and oversee pass-down activities
Drive predictive and preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime
Monitor maintenance work to ensure safe and efficient operations
Coach, mentor, train, and develop maintenance technicians
Complete supervisory duties including timekeeping review and performance evaluations
Support troubleshooting and hands-on maintenance as needed
Use CMMS and planning tools to define labor, parts, and job scope
Coordinate maintenance during washes, planned downtime, and shutdowns
Support root cause analysis for equipment failures
Partner with inventory teams to maintain spare parts and MRO supplies
Assist with capital projects and special maintenance initiatives
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
5+ years of maintenance technical experience in manufacturing
2+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience, union experience required
Dairy or Food & Beverage manufacturing experience required
Experience with high-speed fillers and blow mold equipment preferred
Strong electrical background including motor controls up to 480V, 3-phase
Target experience mix of approximately 60 percent electrical and 40 percent mechanical
PLC experience required, Allen-Bradley experience strongly preferred; programming a plus
CMMS and preventative maintenance system experience required
Ammonia refrigeration experience highly desired
HVAC and boiler experience highly desired
Wastewater or environmental systems exposure a plus
