Maintenance Technician

HiFyve is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry in Joplin, MO!

Pay: $29.65/hour - $32.65/hour + $1,250 sign-on bonus

Shift: Nights (Night shift hours: 6:00 PM–6:30 AM)

Location: Joplin, MO

About the Role

This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining and repairing industrial production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. The Industrial Maintenance Technician focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, food safety compliance, and minimizing downtime across mechanical and electrical systems.

Job Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial production equipment

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on motors, drives, conveyors, and high-speed production machinery

Support food safety initiatives including HACCP, GMP, SQF, and sanitation standards

Maintain and calibrate food safety related instrumentation and product contact surfaces

Diagnose equipment failures using observation, testing, and precision measurement tools

Remove, repair, or replace defective components using hand and power tools

Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools as needed

Communicate maintenance needs and downtime prevention practices with production teams

Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, reports, and work records

Monitor and manage spare parts, tools, and supplies inventory

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment

Support continuous improvement efforts and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred

Industrial maintenance experience preferred; extensive on-the-job training provided

Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical troubleshooting ability

Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

Attention to detail with a strong safety mindset

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic computer skills

English proficiency required

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, background, and criminal screenings

Employee must supply basic maintenance tools
