About the Company

Long Road Transportation LLC is an asset-based carrier specializing in ocean container transportation and warehousing operating in the Seattle/Tacoma area (WA), operating on the market for over 5 years. We operate in a highly competitive industry where the team quality directly decides who gets on top of the market.

Job Summary

This is a business development position aimed at proactive and results-driven professionals working on the team, pursuing their own profit and driving company’s growth. Candidate is commercially astute operator and should either have deep understanding of US logistics market, or appropriate experience in handling and negotiating business with US customers, with capability to quickly learn and grasp logistical processes and conduct independent research. This is a full-time work and commitment, reporting directly to the CEO. We are not looking for consultants or part-time employees. We are looking for self-disciplined, business-savvy and engaged individuals capable of assisting the team in high-pressure environment, taking personal responsibility, and as a consequence - reap rewards, facilitating their personal growth and together with the team.

You will:

• Represent company’s interests in business negotiations with high-level client representatives and decision makers (email and conference calls)

• Work company’s internal tools for research, cold/warm outreach, lead generation (including corporate email, phone)

• Provide pricing and expertise assistance for clients (email, phone)

• Create, manage, and grow long-term client relationships (using internal corporate tools)

• Promote drayage services and tailor solutions to customer needs

• Find most optimal pricing solutions that fit both company and the client on strategic projects

• Coordinate closely with internal operations teams to ensure seamless service execution

• Track sales activity, performance metrics, and pipeline progress

• Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity

• Support billing processes and assist with dispute resolution when needed

Requirements:

• C2 English Proficiency (Written and Oral)

• Relevant sales and/or logistics experience in the US market (at least 2 - 3 years)

• Ability to take independent decisions and self-manage

• Good mathematical skills and an ability to calculate long-term profit and identify lucrative deals

• Experience in Business Development, Customer Service, Cold Sales, or Logistics Operations (Freight Forwarding, OTR Dispatch, Reefer, Drayage, etc.)

• Strategic forecasting

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts

• Amenable to work full-time from 6AM-3PM Pacific Time with tracker

Preference given to candidates with:

• Logistics team leader experience

• Native English speaker accent

• Crisis management skills
