Hospital Employed Psychiatric Medical Director for the Co-Occurring Disorders Unit (CDU) in Western, MA

The Psychiatric inpatient Medial Director is responsible for the medical/psychiatric management and operations of the dual diagnosis unit. The inpatient unit provides services to adults with mental health, substance abuse or co-occurring disorders.

The Psychiatric Inpatient Medical Director is a part of a medical management team that consists of the Chief Psychiatry, Psychiatric Outpatient Medical Director, and the Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services.

The Psychiatric Inpatient Medical Director reports directly to the Chief of Psychiatry and has a close working relationship with the Executive Director and the Director of Psychiatric Nursing of the unit.

In addition to individual and family-based outpatient counseling, the service offers a 14-bed inpatient psychiatric unit, a partial hospitalization program, an intensive substance abuse day program, a 16-bed dual diagnosis unit and a variety of recovery services.

Candidate should have at least 5 years of in-patient psychiatric experience, with at least two years of experience in a supervisory role with other providers and have valid DEA and X number or be willing to obtain X number for Suboxone prescribing

Monday – Friday schedule with No Weekends and No Call Excellent Salary ($290K - $310K) and Benefits Package
