Description:

Gilmer, TX Corporation is actively seeking a Scheduler/Buyer/Expediter. This position will plan, purchase and schedule material to meet customer demand, inventory levels and maximize production efficiencies

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure planning, procurement and production scheduling of assigned product line in accordance with MRP system (products, codes and identities, material requirements, dimension and specification detail, routing, number of pieces, release date, shipping date and inventory requirements

Plan, schedule and prepare production work order details in terms of products and components, codes and identities, material requirements, specified dimension and specification detail, routing, number of pieces, release date, shipping date and inventory requirements

Initiates purchasing and production scheduling to meet customer demands and to maintain proper inventory levels

Correlate planning and scheduling to coordinate order release dates for manufacturing to obtain maximum utilization of machines and equipment and timing of subsequent operations

Vendor negotiations

Maintain proper inventory levels in accordance with projected sales

Maintain and review monthly forecasts and safety stocks

Weekly analysis of E & O

Monitor open purchase orders

Interface with WMS

Review new / changed BOM(s)

Develop and maintain economical efficient transportation services for the company, including negotiations of rates and routings, and conduct monthly analysis of freight reports, exceptions and reporting status

Responsibilities for identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation and disposition of non-conforming products / services / systems

All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary

REQUIRED:

Degree in Business, Finance or related field

3 Years’ Experience in Product / Manufacturing Environment

Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills

APICS Certification

MRPII

Familiarity with Composite Materials
