Maintenance Manager – Food Manufacturing

Salary $100,000–$125,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Midwest USA

Our rapidly expanding food manufacturing organization is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and ensure all plant equipment and facilities operate at peak performance. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on problem-solving, prioritizing projects, and communicating effectively across departments. You will oversee the preventive maintenance program and manage all aspects of equipment and facility upkeep to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead a skilled maintenance team capable of maintaining all plant systems safely and efficiently.

• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to reduce unscheduled downtime.

• Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance supply budgets.

• Coordinate scheduling for maintenance personnel and control labor costs.

• Partner with other departments to plan and execute equipment repairs.

• Collaborate with Engineering on equipment upgrades and facility improvements to enhance performance and reduce costs.

• Ensure optimal operation of utilities and facilities to minimize expenses.

• Handle performance evaluations, attendance, vacation scheduling, and disciplinary actions for maintenance staff.

• Enforce compliance with GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in maintenance within food or beverage manufacturing.

• Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, wastewater systems, and ammonia refrigeration.

• Experience managing in a unionized environment.

• Proven ability to lead capital projects and manage budgets.

• SAP experience preferred.
