We are seeking a highly skilled Facade Design Manager to bridge the gap between architectural vision and technical execution. You will lead the design development process, ensuring that facade systems are innovative, buildable, and compliant with all project requirements and in a timely manner. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management, and exceptional communication skills to coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design Leadership: Oversee the development of facade systems from schematic design through construction documentation. Review shop drawings, fabrication details, and structural calculations.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead design coordination meetings to resolve complex interfaces between the facade, primary structure, MEP, and interior systems.
• Technical Compliance: Ensure all designs meet Building Codes, energy efficiency standards, and safety regulations.
• Performance Testing: Manage the Visual Mock-Up (VMU) and Performance Mock-Up (PMU) processes, including laboratory testing and onsite inspections.
• Value Engineering: Propose cost-effective material and construction alternatives without compromising aesthetic or performance goals.
• Project Management: Manage all façade design related activities, to ensure the design process aligns with the overall construction timeline.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-8+ years in facade design and coordination. Experience with NYC high-rise or complex geometry projects is highly preferred.
• Self driven, effective communicator, and flexible with extended hours when required by project schedules.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, and Revit (BIM) is essential.
• Deep knowledge of unitized, stick, and point-fixed systems. Bilingual communication skills (e.g., English/Chinese) are a plus for coordination with overseas teams.

Compensation: $80,000 -120,000/year + performance bonus
