About the Role:

Our Surgical First Assistants play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical suites. Working under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and Surgical Technologist, you will support patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist with the preparation of the operating room, including gathering necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.

-Help transport patients to and from the operating room.

Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.

-Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment, including cleaning and restocking rooms between cases.

-Support the surgical team by performing tasks such as holding retractors, providing suction, and handling specimens as directed.

-Adhere to all sterile techniques, safety protocols, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

*Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

*2 years of experience in a surgical setting is a must.

*Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

*Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move patients, and handle medical equipment.

*Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.
