Policy Intern

Support our advisory team with policy research, data analysis, and report drafting across IR, military, and tech policy verticals.

Assist with policy briefing curation and government affairs project coordination

Build hands-on think tank experience—paid stipend, no unpaid work.

Ideal for undergrad/grad students pursuing policy, IR, military studies, or tech policy degrees

Policy Analyst.

Conduct independent and collaborative policy research, trend analysis, and data evaluation for key initiatives.

Draft clear, actionable policy reports, briefings, and insights for internal and external stakeholders

Translate complex policy challenges into digestible analysis for government affairs and advisory projects

Government Affairs Consultant

Advise on government affairs strategy, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy efforts

Align policy solutions with federal/state/local and international government priorities and regulatory frameworks

Leverage your industry, government, or military networks to amplify policy impact and outreach

Senior Associate, Policy & Execution

Lead research and project coordination for mid-to-large scale policy advisory engagements

Mentor junior analysts and interns, and support our Advisory & Execution Team in delivering client/stakeholder deliverables

Conduct advanced policy analysis and contribute to NEXUS’s thought leadership across core policy sectors

Senior Policy Consultant

Serve as a lead expert for high-level policy advisory and government affairs projects, driving strategy and end-to-end execution

Develop tailored policy recommendations for senior stakeholders, drawing on deep expertise in IR, military, tech, or government affairs

Shape NEXUS’s key policy research agendas and represent the firm in cross-sector collaborations

Think tank experts (junior to senior) with a proven track record of policy research/analysis

Current/retired government officials (US federal/state/local, international) with policy or government affairs experience

Active/former military officers with specialized expertise in defense, military policy, or national security

University scholars (professors, researchers, lecturers) with published work or research in policy-related disciplines
