Job Title: Natrium - Senior Simulator Hardware Engineer (TP-PR-00012597)

Job Description:
Reporting to Manager, Natrium Simulator Development, the Senior Engineer, Simulator Hardware Development is responsible for supporting the development of the Training Simulator of the Natrium power plant. In particular, the Senior Engineer, Simulator Hardware Development is responsible for the hardware design, delivery, and installation of the Training Simulator, Natrium (TSN). The candidate will work closely with the TSN hardware lead and hardware suppliers to ensure the hardware meets all the requirements and the suppliers deliver the hardware on time. In addition, the candidate will support integration of the simulator software and hardware to ensure a successful installation of the Training Simulator.
Responsibilities
• Support the TSN development in general
• Collect design information for the TSN hardware design
• Review design documentations from the simulator hardware suppliers
• Report and document the issues of the simulator hardware supply
• Attend project team meetings with the design groups and simulator suppliers
• Support the integration of the simulator software and hardware
• Travel to the simulator supplier’s factory and the hardware site for progress review
• Coordinate with the hardware suppliers and the simulator design team to ensure an on-time delivery of the Natrium Training Simulator
• On-site support for the TSN hardware delivery, installation, and testing.
Key Qualifications and Skills
• B.S. or M.S. in nuclear or other relevant engineering
• 10+ years of related experience in the simulator industry
• Familiarity with simulator software (3Keymaster, Jade, Corys, Orchid, etc) is a plus
• Experience in successful delivery of nuclear power plant simulators is highly desirable
• Familiar with ANSI/ANS-3.5 – Nuclear Power Plant Simulators for Use in Operator Training and Examination
• Experience with nuclear power plant design or operations is a plus
• Experience with first-of-a-kind or high temperature nuclear reactor design projects is a plus
• Strong technical writing skills
• Effective communication skills

• Actual position starting level and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications
