EDUCATION:
Grove City College, Grove City, PA
B.A. in History; minors in Sociology and Religion
Graduated May 2010
PERTINENT EXPERIENCE:
Joey’s Take & Bake Express – Manager – Chagrin Falls, Ohio November 2010 – June 2011
-
• I was, for eight months, usually the only employee working. I ran a small boutique pizzeria and prepared all food, invented and promoted new menu items, kept the facilities spotless and took great pleasure in being genuinely friendly, helpful and conversational with all customers.
Vice President of Social Affairs – Alpha Epsilon Chi – Grove City, PA. April 2009 – May 2010
-
• As the social coordinator for the independent equivalent of a fraternity, I held regular meetings with my staff, organized the logistics of events ranging from twenty to 1000 participants and regularly liaised with college administrators.
Committee Executive – Orientation Board Social – Grove City College, Grove City, PA.
December 2008 – October 2009
-
• My responsibilities on Orientation Board provided me with a platform to greatly increase the morale and efficiency of the committee I led, as well as streamline the otherwise-cumbersome operation of transitioning some 800 new students into the college.
The Echo – Creative Poetry, Prose, Photography, and Artwork Magazine – Grove City College
September 2008 – May 2010
-
• The Echo gave me an opportunity to make many executive decisions regarding submissions and content produced by the student body. I worked closely with a critical board of volunteers to turn a large pile of mediocre entries into an acclaimed student publication.
