I work at one of the City of Tulsa’s 43MGD wastewater treatment plant
I repair a one of a kind Class "A" Pasteurization system that is capable of heating bio solids to 275 degrees consisting of (6) six DDI heat exchangers. Having Vogalsang rotary lobe (positive displacement) pumps and grinders with a S.P. Kinney water strainers, and both cooling water and hot water pumps. To date I have spent $30,000 on repairs and maintain about another $70,000 in a spare parts inventory. Also having a mixer tank with Hayward-Gordman mixer pumps.
I work closely with the new mechanic’s and some of the older ones training them in how to maintain, repair, and rebuild there equipment back to OEM specifications, how to use the OEM Manuel’s, and schematic’s, trouble shoot there equipment, and look for root cause of the failure. Looking at cost, efficiency, reliability, and proficiency
I operate and maintain a service truck, with over a $10,000 inventory of Tools, Parts, and Supplies to be effective and proficient in my job performance.
I made bench sheets for several of our pump rebuilds so we can measure and record our parts during tear down and rebuild so we have a record of the specifications of the parts used to help with performance and longevity of them pumps
Pumps: I rebuild and maintain a number of pumps brands, sizes types, from Positive displacement, centrifugal, submergible, and multi-stage.
Yoman pumps 450HP, Fairbanks Morse 250HP, Bordman (PD), Vogalsang (PD), Hayward-Gordman, Vaughan chopper pumps, Landia chopper pumps, Wemco pumps, and Flygt pumps.
Metering pumps on our Sodium Hypochlorite, and Sodium Bisulfate systems
Blowers I install and repair, am Continental industry 600A, and Lamson Multi-stage blowers.
I replace all types of Mechanical Seals and test performance tests them.
I maintain and rebuild Grit Units to the extent of replacing all the buckets, chains, augers, in past even installed complete new units.
Repair and rebuild JWC Channel monsters
Install new bearings in electric motors.
Install, remove, repair Process piping and Valves up to 48” in diameter Automatic valves Auma, Limit torque, and EIM brands.
Maintain scum pits and all connected pumps and equipment
Clarifiers: Maintain, inspect, and train other mechanic how to do the same make out a check list on everything to inspect how to change oil, what type of oils to use etc.
