- Test and Verification of Thermocouple and RTD’s

- Can utilize different Test and Verification Equipments such as Multi Function Calibrator (MC-1200/Martel), Compact Temperature Calibrator (Ametek), Portable Pressure Calibrator (Druck), Loop Calibrator (UPS III/Druck, Fluke705/Fluke), Relcom Fieldbus Tester/FBT-6 and Field Communicator for HART/Fieldbus (375,475).

- Documentation/ Preparation and Completion of all the necessary documents included in the Loop Folder and making Loop Test report

- Can interpret different drawings such as P&ID/PEFS/UEFS, ILD, Segment Drawing for Fieldbus, and Hook-up, Vendor and Location Drawing

- Perform loop testing, calibration and troubleshooting of various process control instruments such as FIELDBUS, HART and other CONVENTIONAL type of transmitters for temperature, flow (dp type, vortex and coriolis), pressure and level, vibration meters, controllers, switches, thermocouples, RTD’S, on/off and control valves, motorized valves and analytical instruments.

- Power-up of instruments in MDF cabinets in FAR and junction boxes in field side, Fieldbus Segment check using FBT-6, support DOWNLOADING and PRM PLUG and PLAY in DCS.

- Work in different systems such as DCS, IPS, TURBCS, FGS, and REDAS.

- Preparation and completion of all the necessary documents included in the loop folder as per shell requirements.

- Accept daily schedule from supervisor, locate instruments in the field, prepare document prior to testing and assist in completion of loop test report.

HOT COMMISSIONING/SHELL MAINTENANCE SUPPORT FOR ECC START-UP

(February 19, 2010 – April 30, 2010)

- Calibration, trouble shooting and process value correction as per operation requirement of various process instruments like pressure, flow, temperature and level transmitters.

o Filling- up of the correct filling liquid/fluid for differential pressure type level transmitters if required.

o Tube bending/fitting if there’s a modification required for the impulse line tubing of a certain process instrument.

o Resistance checking of RTD’s for confirmation of the process value on DCS.

o Check and calibrates gauges (temperature, pressure, magnetic flow meter, rotameter) which shows incorrect indication.

- Re-configuration of advanced instrument such as, Vortex, Coriolis, Radar Level Transmitters and re-calibration and finger printing/valve signature of Fisher Control Valves due to replacement of PWB DVC 6000 with the help of Emerson Field Engineer.
