Responsible for 2.5 million dollar factory automation equipment purchase and install. The goal was to install factory automation equipment through-out the factory and improve on-time customer delivery. I was part of a 150 million dollar manufacturing facility expansion and build-out team. The goal of the expansion was to supply our customers with increased demand of our products. This factory expansion allowed us to increase our capacity capability from 5500 wafer starts per week to 9000 additional product starts per week.

Cost Savings: Twenty five thousand dollars ($25,000) cost savings by researching and implementing alternative parts source (barcode reader purchase/install) for purposes of eliminating scrap and lost material. Thirty thousand dollar ($30,000) cost savings by implementing a single station wip rack installed at each piece of manufacturing equipment. The implementation would eliminate scrap due to the operator handling multiple boxes at one time and causing material to fall to the floor.
