I am seeking a career in a company I can grow with. I recently graduated from UNLV, with a Bachelors degree in liberal arts. Currently, I am enrolled in an online bachelors degree in petroleum engineering at the University of North Dakota. I plan on doing an online masters in petroleum engineering at USC. I am Looking for a job with a company that will become a career. I am a very ambitious young man excited about my career and ready to take it to any length.

EXPERIENCE
Floorhand, Chainhand, Motorman Cyclone Drilling

As a floorhand I was responsible for all duties of the floor. Not limited to the floor however, I am to assist the chain hand, motor man, derrick hand, and the driller in whatever they may need. I make connections keep the V-door full, set the slips, throw chain, and maintain the rig daily on rig service. I moved up on my rig fast due to my mechanical expertise. Running motors gave me a chance; to not only grow as an employee, but also intellectually and as an asset to the rig. I am knowledgeable on a Kelley rig, but I have never worked a top drive. I am on a 1961 Bethlehem conventional Kelley rig. We still throw tongs and chain. I am eager to take a new step in my career and learn the modern world of drilling!

My duties included the management of all carpentry and landscaping projects from layout, purchasing from distributors, and competition of the jobs. On some projects operating/ managing crews of up to four other engineers. I was also one of three engineers who would maintain the water towers. Insuring the temperature of hot water was consistent throughout the risers. Also, we had to regulate the PH and lower the hard water and calcium found in Nevada’s water.

Face to face customer interaction on issues involving accounts, credit card, and debit card troubleshooting. Not to mention, the hundreds of daily transactions either deposits, withdrawals, printing cashiers checks, to drawing money from one’s credit card. While working at Wells Fargo, I was the W.O.W. ambassador. This included meeting via phone conference with the other 8 branches in our region and the regional manager. We would discuss the overall satisfaction of our branches through random customer surveys. When I became the ambassador our branch was at 73%, and when I transferred to Las Vegas we were at 90% all five star satisfaction.

The company began as a partnership and after the first year I was able to buy out my partner. I handled everything from estimates to designs and construction. At the peak of operation I supervised, one crew manager and 4 other employees.

I worked side by side with two different Chiropractors at Thomson Valley Chiropractic: from, patient intake, diagnosis, building recovery plans, initiating care, to completion of treatment. The Doctors at Thompson valley wanted to show me the business from the inside out.
Volunteer experience

I worked for The Las Vegas Project Homeless Connect; assisting the homeless by registering them for things such as pro-bono dentistry, legal services, haircuts, clothing, jobs, and even veterinary work for their pets in conjunction with the Red Cross.
