Quality Assurance Manager
General Responsibilities:
Manage a team that audits all incoming shipments. A random sampling is inspecting based on a 4.0 AQL of acceptance. Each shipment must met Appleseeds required specifications and complies with all Federal Trade requirements before being approved to stock.
Analyze all quality problems; communicate the problem and solution with the Buyers, Planners, and Division Leaders.
Coordinated a monthly Focus/Feedback Partnership with Customer Service and Returns to discuss pending quality issues that may affect our customer in relation to sales. Address customer complaints & inqueries. Discuss best practices that meet the needs of our customer. Implement strategies that will proide customer satisfaction.
Comply with the Distribution Centers Goals and Deadlines for stock dates by catalog drops.
Created a vendor scorecard to monitor each vendor’s performance for quality and compliance standards set based on a percentage of total units shipped. Quarterly reviews are performed and communicated to all channels. Vendors who don’t meet the required % of acceptance with be contacted, outlining their discrepancies. Failure to meet the required % per total units shipped for the second time will result in mandatory preships prior to the bulk shipment for approval.
Approve all Domestic Vendor preships.
Responsible for the department’s yearly budget and payroll.

General Responsibilities:
Oversee all Incoming Audits on Clothing, Home Accessories, Pet Products, Hunting and Fishing items.
Maintain a Financial and Quality KPM by prioritizing the daily work flow.
Attend the daily Supervisor meeting to inform Management of Receiver status and any pending quality issue’s that may affect customer orders and work flow.
Analyze quality problems; communicate the problem to the Buyers, Inventory Control Buyers, Vendors, Division Managers and UK office. Provide a solution to the issue..
Responsible for the approvals of all Fast Track requests.
I was the contact for all Customer Service/Retail Store inquiries: quality issue’s color/fabric, construction, measures, received merchandise that does not meet the Orvis acceptable standard, etc. End result- pull merchandise and evaluate the problem in a timely manner, correspond this information to all departments that are affected.
Responsible for initiating a CODE RED: TOTAL PRODUCT RECALL by communicating the defect to the appropriate channels, including a solution for current and upcoming shipment disposition.

Primary duty was to see that the JCP AQL Standards for Quality Inspections were met in the Cutting Department, the Manufacturing Floor and the Shipping Department.
Managed 9 inline Inspectors, 2 Cutting Room Inspectors and 2 Final auditors.
Approved all Final Inspections on Salesmen’s Samples.
Coordinated a weekly style review on New and Problem styles.
Specs Program recorded all audits, this information was used to analyze daily percentage by auditor, units inspected, units failed. Recorded history of style, quantity and reasons for failure. Excellent history tool for JCP audits.
