January 2006 to present: Operations Director, Supply Chain, Indianapolis Combined Facilities

• Functions of job include oversight of Supply Chain for all Indianapolis Region Facilities: 86th Street including Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at Indianapolis, Carmel, Women’s, Seton Specialty and Stress Center. Areas of oversight include replenishment of storerooms on units, stocking of Nurse Server cabinets in patient rooms, implementing use of contracted items, receiving and distribution, courier services, mailroom, development and oversight of departmental warehouses, maintaining appropriate Par levels based on usage in all areas of these facilities, as well as item file changes and maintenance in Lawson 9.0 MMIS.

• Staff of 45 Direct and indirect reporting associates.

• Operated within budget every year in management while assisting supply chain to reduce $1-2 million from supply cost annually. Actively work with Value Analysis committee to evaluate, standardize, consolidate products within 16 facility system, to provide our patients with the best care possible.

• Served on committee for planning and development of St Vincent Medical Center Northeast, the first freestanding ER in Indiana. Currently serving on committee to expand same facility to an inpatient facility.

• Serve on Disaster Planning committee for St Vincent Health, oversee supply in Pandemic warehouse owned by St Vincent.

March 2002 to January 2006: Manager, Unit Based Services, Indianapolis

• Responsible for stocking of Nurse Servers in patient rooms and replenishment of unit storerooms in 500-bed acute care facility

• Received Service Excellence award for Creating a 24/7 “One Stop Shop” service for all supplies and equipment, including creating system for cleaning and redistribution of DME, isolation and code carts, to improve nursing satisfaction and productivity.

• Assisted with implementation of Lawson materials and AP systems. Integral part of committee for upgrade to Lawson 9.0, including testing, training and deployment.

• Implemented Omnicell and/or Pyxis supply cabinets in five facilities, including facilitating development and testing of interfaces with Lawson and ADT.

• Implemented FISH motivational program for associates in the department

January 1998 to March 2002: Materials Consultant, Purchasing and Materials

• One of a team of four Nurses who managed all contracts for medical supplies in the 800+ bed system of facilities. Negotiated contracts, coordinated product trials and conversions, monitored national as well as local contract compliance. Team was able to save $1-2 million annually in new supply savings

• Created departmental asset warehouses to equalize usage and cost, better identify purchases and implement cost savings

June 1989-January 1998: RN in Level III NICU

• Worked as staff nurse to care for all levels of babies in Level III NICU, including charge duties and Neonatal Transports

• Obtained Certification as Neonatal Nurse

• Coordinated the logistics of moving NICU twice for construction as it expanded from 21 to 50 beds

• Volunteered as a “Resolve Through Sharing” counselor to parents who had lost an infant to death.
