Fatty Tissue modeling in a Haptic Surgical Environment (Aug 2010 – May 2011) (C++, CUDA)
Modeling fatty tissue for a surgical simulation device. The primary challenge is due to the complex deformations that the tissues undergo with the surgical tools. Making it cost effective and real time were the major tasks.
ACADEMIC PROJECTS
A Distance Learning Software for the Interaction Design Project (Flash, Adobe Photoshop)
Made a highly interactive program that handles users of different persona differently and helps them learn basing on their predefined skill level. Novel interactive metaphors have been introduced for the best experience possible.
An Implementation of Loop Subdivision Algorithm by Charles Loop (C++, OpenGL, Linux)
Implemented subdivision algorithm developed by Charles Loop for triangular meshes. Given a 3D triangular mesh as input, triangles are subdivided into more triangles to make the mesh smoother, hence increasing the quality.
An Implementation of Shading Algorithms in the Graphics Pipeline (C++, OpenGL, Linux)
Implemented Flat shading and Gouraud shading with hidden surface removal using Z-buffer Algorithm, on a library of 3D meshes. The shading Algorithms mimic reflection and refraction of light on 3D models in a real life scenario.
Rotation and Re-sampling of images using Filters (C, OpenGL, Linux)
An Image Processing implementation of re-sampling of images using Box, Tent, Cubic B-Spline, Catmull Rom, Gaussian, Mitchell Netravali image filters which is further extendable for object tracking in videos.
3D Modeling and Simulation (Maya, C, OpenGL, LSL, Second Life)
Created and modeled a comprehensive and realistic Virtual 3D city in Second life with event driven objects that interact with the embedded script of the traffic light mechanism that drives automatically controlled vehicles.
Aesthetic Computing Project (Java, Adobe Photoshop)
Made an educational interface, containing data mined information that aesthetically supports Human Computer Interaction and increases the ease of understanding of complicated data and information.
An Image processing implementation of Panoramic stitch for MATLAB (C, MATLAB)
Made a Panoramic Stitching Application that helps joining images in order to generate an effective Panoramic Stitch, with the implementation of the Bi Linear Interpolation Algorithm in the field of Image Processing.
