Products are based upon IXP1200, VxWorks, real time (embedded) programs, FCIP (TCP/IP), routing such as RIP, OSPF, ATM and Element management system. Responsible for all Hardware (packaging, cabling, Boards) and Software development, system test, Inter-operability laboratory, customer support, product partnerships and certification programs. Completed (In system test) complicated product in 10 months, which would have taken about 18 – 24 months. Responsible for building and managing 40 people organization, at multi locations. Plaid Brothers Software – a SunGard Data Systems Co. 11/99 – 8/00

Director of Engineering

Plaid provides products for brokers for portfolio and customer management. These products are web based three tier applications based upon MS technologies. Responsible for engineering including development, custom work, QA and support. Development is done in C++, C, VB and HTML.

XyberNet – at San Diego CA 12/97 – 10/99

Responsible for all engineering/ operations activities, which includes all product development (NT, WIN 9X, UNIX, Data bases - SQL and Oracle), support, deployment (manufacturing and installation) and professional services. The product is Client/ Server based electronic enrollment/ administration system for employee benefits in the area of Health, Dental, Life, AD&D, and Disability. Specific accomplishments include turning prototype into a real product and creating infrastructure for this volume product in a very short time that provided service for 7X24 operation. Director of NT-based Server Systems

Worked with marketing in defining and setting the strategic direction for NT based server program. Responsible for all NT based systems development, system integration, and field support activities. Current activities include providing whole product for the targeted part of the Enterprise. Value added capabilities are provided in the area of: -

Scalability and Availability: - We are in the process of developing various clustering projects to provide increased system Scalability and availability. Loosely coupled clustering for fail over solutions is based upon MS Wolfpack. Tandem serverNet was the basis for highly scalable solutions e.g. Oracle OPS, Data mart etc.

Network and Server Management: -Network/Server management system that simultaneously monitors and manages variety of local area networks from a single workstation. Worked with partners/vendors of System Management to make our products highly manageable.

Special Drivers for communication cards for mixed environments: - Developed drivers as needed basis such as synchronous cards for IBM high-speed WAN connectivity.

Architectural Services: - Participated various ways in Pre- Sales activities for architecture lead sales

Performance and Capacity Planning Tools: - Created simple tools to help our sales, size the systems.

In addition to the above, participated in a task force to set the I-Net program strategy.

Unisys - Imaging Systems Group at Plymouth MI 9/83 - 11/95

Director of High Speed Payment Systems 12/86 - 11/95

Responsible for all R&D activities. Developed and deployed industry leading premier image based high-speed check processing system. The system provided a complete solution for image-based proof of deposit and statement rendition applications. The project included:

Major technological innovation in imaging.

Major hardware sub-systems included development of ASICS and firmware

4 M lines of System and Application code in a distributed environment: on mainframes, servers, and workstations

System utilized flat file and relational data bases for different applications

Successful management of approximately 250 people and total project cost of $160M.

Successful completion of the project and its challenges provided great opportunity and experience in:

- People, plans and processes, which resulted in very effective organization

- Reduced time to market while delivering a quality mission critical applications and platforms

Manager of ATM Systems 9/83 - 11/86

Responsibilities included development of hardware, system software, network emulation and their integration. The project was completed successfully and on time.

Recognition Equipment, Inc. – Dallas, TX 8/77 - 9/83

Started as staff engineer and later worked as manager of smart workstation group. Work included design of Z80 based board, real time high performance display controller and all system software for connectivity and intelligence. During this time I developed a strong system level understanding and expertise for providing solutions to the customers.

Telxon Corp., Houston, TX 5/74 -8/77

Worked as hardware engineer for the design of hand-held order entry terminal. The design based on 4-bit processors included state-of-the-art control, input/output, on board modem, battery powered electronics, and complete order entry software.
