• Manages one year-round and three seasonal (Jan. through mid-April) tax centers, providing free tax preparation to low-income individuals and families in the Houston area (over 65,000 completed returns amounting to > $125 million in credits and refunds since Sept. 2009).

• Routinely prepares tax returns and processes Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITINs) for non-citizens.

• Effectively coordinates the yearly set up, operation, and demobilization of 16 seasonal tax centers.

• Maintains Advanced Certification under the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, as required for training of volunteers.

• Assists in the ongoing development of a highly successful, process-based training program, resulting in improved subject comprehension and higher volunteer retention.

• During an intense six-week period each year, trains and otherwise prepares over 1,000 volunteers for Basic and Intermediate levels of Certification, as required under the IRS VITA Program.
