Since graduating from Boston University in 1964, I have held only two positions.
The first was for Russell Distributing Co. from 1964 -1987. In 1964 I joined my father at RDC when I was made an officer and stockholder.
The second position occurred during the years 1987-1989, I was employed by GTE Florida which purchased RDC of FL. in 1987. My second position with GTE began in 1987 where I worked until 1989. In 1989 they closed the business and I retired in1989.
Russell Distributing Company was founded by my father, H.W. Russell in the 1930's. Russell Distributing Co. was a direct mail and advertising distributing company. In addition, RDC distributed telephone books for NYTEL in the State of NY with the exception of New York City. RDC also had contracts for telephone book delivery with GTE in CT and GTE of FL.
RDC of NY and RDC of FL existed concurrently in the 1970's and 80's. I traveled extensively throughout both states to set up delivery services in each individual area for which new telephone books had been printed.
Currently I am driving courier route for the two Courier businesses listed in my references.
