WORK HISTORY

Buchheit of Greenville – Department Manager Greenville, IL (2009 – Present)

Started as the Receiving Manager where I learned how to check in and physically inventory incoming merchandise. I also dealt with shipping issues and store to store transfers. During my time as Receiving Manager I turned the department around from last place in efficiency and error rate to number one. I then moved in to the position of Department Manager where I became responsible for the day to day operations of several departments including: Paint, Lumber, Flooring, Electrical, Lighting, Heating & Cooling, Hardware, and Cleaning Supplies. I managed a staff of four others in the department by setting schedules, making up work lists, assigning work as needed, and dealing with customers. I was also a stand in for the Store Manager by taking on the role of MOD (Manager On Duty). As MOD I was responsible for all the store employees, taking care of customer complaints / issues, opening or closing the store (depending on schedule), and verifying and counting the safe contents and deposits.

FASTechnology Group - Manufacturing Technician Glen Carbon, IL (2007 – 2009)

Assembled electrical control panels, PLC controls, and motor control devices using blue prints, bill of materials, and schematics. Mounted panels and devices and made necessary changes and fabrications. Took inventory of all the parts needed based on the bill of material made up for the job and reported all discrepancies to the engineer and production manager. Checked panels for quality workmanship and powered them up to test them electrically. Often involved in packaging and shipping the finished product. Lead and in some cases supervised the jobs.

Tested, troubleshot, and repaired aviation electronics that had failed in the field to the component level (Surface mount and through hole PCB’s). Used various troubleshooting procedures, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, schematics, drawings, soldering irons, and many hand tools on the job (strippers, crimping tools, etc Held responsibility for work center training including: sexual harassment, work center safety, electrical safety, and general procedures. Supervised 3-4 subordinates in a close work center environment, and a crew of 15-20 subordinates during a 5 month assignment on fire watch duty. Coordinated detailed semi-annual inventories of all shop equipment and accounted for any discrepancies by tracking down locations and documenting them.
