Port Mellon, British Columbia Senior Electrical Instrument Technologist: Contract work in Electrical and Instrumentation design work, construction management, E/I Planning, and Shutdown Planning through field assignments and via telecommuting.
Senior Electrical/ Instrument Project Coordinator. Electrical and instrument engineering, planning, and supervision. Estimated, specified, designed and coordinated instrumentation and electrical projects including maintenance of existing equipment or installation of new equipment. Responsibilities included recommending maintenance programs, coordinating shutdowns, monitoring equipment reliability and performance, budget administration and cost control of projects.
Designed and produced wiring and installation diagrams for new equipment or improvements to existing equipment. Assisted in the start-up and troubleshooting of installed equipment.
Electrical and Instrument Maintenance Systems Supervisor. Developed, administrated and coordinated the Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Program for all electrical and instrument equipment in the mill complex. This included the design of forms and procedures, computerized scheduling, review of failures, and record keeping systems to ensure the reliability of operating equipment
Maintenance Planner. Planning and scheduling of maintenance functions and relief supervision of the instrument and electrical crews. Recorded and tracked job orders, estimated costs and man-hours for particular job requests and selected and order the required materials.
Utah Mines Ltd. (Island Copper Mine)
Port Hardy, British Columbia Technical Project Supervisor. Responsible for engineering requirements for instrumentation and electrical projects. Responsibilities included cost estimates, design work, specifications and ordering. Created CAD produced drawings, loop sheets, wiring schedules.
Designed and implemented technical changes for better process control, energy conservation and operator safety.
