Supported redesign of Claims Batch Process System in EDI to be HIPAA Compliant. Created system that can run multiple times during the day. Increased number of deliveries from once per day to five times a day.
Designed standard file format for system to process. The maximum claims processed in one day were almost 500,000 claims per day. Increased capacity from a maximum 70,000 claims per day to an average 260,000 claims per day. Allow the company to be HIPAA compliant.
Created claim images for customer support to view incoming claim data. Designed program that would take professional claims and create output to be sent to image processing. The input was the standard format and created an output used by the image team to have claim viewed buy customer support online. Increased productivity for customer support when handling calls from customers. Allowed users to view the original input data.
Added automated balancing support. Implemented ACR software. To take counts of input and output to ensure they were in balance, if they were in balance continue processing, if they were out of balance generate an email notification for action to be taken. Reduced lose claims in the system. Increased audit support.
