The Plan Support Specialist will be a member of an offshore team of application specialists supporting IKEA's Cognos Planning. Deliver Cognos Planning models for the different Strategic Business Units of IKEA Reuters for Financial Planning and Analysis using the Cognos Planning tools called COGNOS Planning Analyst and Contributor. The Support Specialist's primary responsibility will be maintenance and enhancement of developed Cognos Plan applications and application components. Additional responsibilities include preparation of project updates, enhancements to project documentation, liaise with Plan development team, Technology and Data support teams, and with business representatives. Core technologies used by the team include, but are not limited to: Cognos Planning, Oracle, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities:

• Running Publish to move the application data from Cognos Planning to cognos BI publish containers for reporting purpose on daily basis

• Elist Additions to the existing hierarchy for various applications based on user requests.

• Involve in various data upload activities on daily, weekly and monthly basis

• Support the business user in various month-end activities and uploads.

• Status reporting to the business users on daily basis on various aspects.

• Cost centre additions to the existing applications based on user requests

• Involve in activities to reflect the organization structure changes in cognos EP

• Manage and monitor macros, admin and system links in CAC application.

• Coordinate the provision of the appropriate security rights and installation of the EP client to new users.

• Monitoring the cognos mail box( support queue) and replying the users accordingly

• Troubleshooting the issues raised by clients

• Updating the process documents and flow charts on regular basis and also prepare new documents for the newly transitioned processes.

Unilever Enterprise system comprises of a ‘Sales Planning & Forecasting’ application and a ‘Reporting’ application built using Cognos Planning & Cognos BI respectively.

Enterprise is a Promotion Planning/Evaluation and Reporting application sourced by the following systems - Demand Planning system (APO), the Data warehouse, Uniprom and few flat files. The source data flow into a data mart after multiple staging layers and then processed into Enterprise.

Enterprise sources data to Demand Planning and Uniprom applications too. The data is published out of Enterprise Planning Application and populated into the data mart before fed to the external systems.

Enterprise planning is used for creating, approving and managing Promotions and also to generate Sales plan and Rolling forecast estimates (RFE). Enterprise Reporting helps in generation of dynamic and ad-hoc reports on Rolling forecast estimates and Promotion & Sales planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering the Sales Planning Tool, BI reports and cubes every day as per business SLA agreement.

• 24*7 (Fixing job failure issues - SSIS & Contributor Macro) supports for daily overnight jobs run.
