IT Manager and Network Administration Director 2009 - 2012

Responsible in creating and maintaining the network, web administration, email administration and logistics for non-government organization dedicated to seeking funding sources for special projects and required financing for the government of the Republic of Cuba. Provided technical support for special events in the form of lighting, sound and computer setup. Design and implementation of the organization website www.fanj.org and keeping updated information. I also designed and was in charge of events programming by maintaining a comprehensive database with list of individuals and organizations that conducted business with our Foundation. Participated in projects pertaining to environmental impacts and other projects pertaining to automation and information technology.

IT Manager and Network Administrator 1992 - 2009

Instituto Cubano de Arte e Industria Cinematográfico (ICAIC), Havana, Cuba

Was responsible for the administration and daily operations of the IT Department of the Cuban Institute of Arts and Cinematography. I was involved in the creation of the network by supervising the structural wiring and logistics with its different types of connections like UTP, Wireless, Fiber Optics, ADSL, Frame Relay and dial-up. Directly supervised the implementation of different services pertaining to the above infrastructure like streaming with its corresponding streaming server, email, web and access to databases.

Participated in the design, installation and implementation of the digitalization of the film library within the Institute utilizing different hardware and software aimed at the preservation of intellectual property.
