by 30 to more than 100% by improving design of fixtures, cutting
parameters, eliminating unproductive movements of tools, modifying cnc
programmes from mazatrol format to EIA format.

designing & making machining datum checking gages.

. Designed and manufactured 17 numbers of jigs and fixtures, which are
giving trouble free output. Modified 7 numbers of existing tools
reduced cycle time by 7.5 %.
. Took time study, reviewed production processes and completed costing
of all the parts and concluded 18% parts need rate revision.
Accordingly customers were contacted, parts were requoted. I was
successful in getting rate revision.
. Cutting tools cost reduced by 20% by purchasing tools from more
competitive sources, replaced carbide inserts by silicone nitride
inserts resulting increase in tool life by 20 times Developed a method
to create tool life record of all the tools. From tool life record,
machine down time reduced by 5%.
. Operator's output increased by 6% by comparing and monitoring output
with standard hourly production.
