Gift Processor
Maintain donor database accuracy for the university, radio ministries and collaborate with Business Development regarding business partners. Daily input of pledges, gifts and donations for receipting of donors. Download, merge and print receipts for the six separate ministries that are a part of the Cornerstone University family.
Used Excel to improve accuracy and streamline the receipt printing process by 30 percent. Paticipated in two database conversions, learning three new databases in the last seven years.
Participated in more than eighteen fundraising events for the university and the radio stations. Knowledge and timely execution of both pre and post fundraising mailings. Work closely with radio and other stakeholders to precisely capture this vital information.
Collect and correct information, as needed, for automatic payments of gifts and donations by credit/debit cards and EFT. Process donations from the websites and answer donor questions.
Communicate with donors on a daily basis by phone and email; researching and resolving questions and problems to the donor’s satisfaction.

Office Manager
Maintained computer files, church records and sent out church and personal ministerial correspondence. Became proficient with Excel, MSWord, WordPerfect and QuickBooks. Facilitated the timely and accurate completion of projects on behalf of leadership and staff.
Assisted in the upkeep of financial records of the church and preschool. Utilized QuickBooks to accurately perform all transactions supporting church ministries. At the direction of the board withdrew funds from the capital improvement loan, tracking and making payments to construction accounts. Developed and maintained balance sheet and profit/loss statement for monthly board meeting and quarterly information meetings.
Expanded and trained office staff to address rapid growth of the church and ensuing workload after relocation. Managed a staff of two part-time associates and 15 volunteers.
Organized and proofread the newsletter, weekly bulletin and any other marketing or informational piece produced in the church office. Used queries in Membership Plus for mailing bi-monthly newsletter. Responsible for coordinating information and printing of quarterly phone directory.
Scheduled periodic maintenance for all office equipment. Also purchased all office supplies and obtained quotes for purchase of capital equipment.
Coordinated key church events annually, delegating responsibilities to volunteers for obtaining permits, entertainment and food. Communicated with workers to insure timely execution of these events.
Christian Benevolent Association, Development Office 1999 - 2002
Administrative Assistant
Assisted in start up of the Office of Development, focusing the organization’s fundraising efforts which resulted in an increase in contribution and almost doubling the organization’s donor base.
Responsible for database accuracy and learned Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge for tracking and reporting of organization’s donations. Entered data and merged information for receipts on a weekly basis. Wrote queries to extract information used in appeal letters, donor annual statements, quarterly newsletters, and annual reports. Through queries also developed reports for the organization’s financial department who did not have a database to which the information could be downloaded.
Communicated regularly with contributors, potential contributors, and fund-raising committee members. Organized events, meetings; helped set up annuities and endowment funds.
