* Initiated the university’s undertaking of corporate sponsored research project valued at $1,500,000 to create materials to be utilized towards further advancing technologies within the burgeoning energy conversion and “green” technology markets.

* Responsible for a university research project (valued at $500,000) with the Marshall School of Business and School of Social Work and a major corporate sponsor to improve both operational efficiency (lean manufacturing) and improve cross-cultural communication in manufacturing at a model factory located in Latin America.

* Solicited a corporate sponsor and organized a research project valued at $500,000 to advance high-speed medical imaging research and to establish a comprehensive academic program designed to translate advanced cardiovascular imaging methods into clinical applications.

* Secured corporate support for a pilot research project valued at $300,000 to gauge the long-term viability and effectiveness of an innovative transdermal therapy designed to enhance muscle function and recovery. Future sponsored research is expected to assess findings and optimize parameters for enhanced therapeutic effectiveness and to develop new applications for technology.

* Worked with program organizers to garner industry funding of $200,000 (per year) to host annual major university conference designed to showcase research advancements within the area of “Body Computing” healthcare technology and to highlight the Keck School of Medicine research undertakings and accomplishments. Project has developed into an established institute at USC.

* Negotiated with an industry partner to develop and establish a state-of-the art research venue to showcase electron microscopy (SEM) research and technological advancements and to develop novel imaging applications. * Was responsible for the maintenance and sustainability of comprehensive corporate portfolio valued at over $10,000,000 (annually) to support collaborative research projects with major academic institutions and customers throughout the Western US region.

* Established and coordinated a major (10 year) research collaboration between GE Healthcare and a University of California Medical Center valued at over $40,000,000 to further explore and expand medical advancements in medical imaging and neuroscience.

* Drove the acquisition of over $3,000,000 in (UC Discovery) grants for two University of California Medical Centers, to be used towards the creation of an innovative and comprehensive webcasting educational series and for a center for high resolution clinical imaging in drug development.
