Work Experience

The Home Depot was very flexible with my full time school schedule, and they had an opening for an Electrical Sales Position. 2010 – 2011 – Sugar Land Electric, Sugar Land, TX

Apprentice Electrician – Dispatcher/Office Manager

Sugar Land Electric is a very successful residential and commercial electric company. My position with the company was to dispatch the employees, and plan out there schedules and routes for the next day. I would also help them with directions from a GPS tracking system on the vans. Managing the office tasks, taking phone calls, and scheduling appointments in the computer system was the main part of my day. I would pull permits for jobs, order truck stock and supplies needed for upcoming jobs, and maintain the warehouse supply of stock. I usually scheduled up to two estimates per week, when I had a break in my day I would meet with potential customers to take down information and get important photos of the job so that the estimator could work up and submit an accurate proposal. Occasionally I may go on a job with my tools to assist technicians if needed.
