• Involved in Team Managing in the Site Quality/laboratory division.

Project Profile & Training Undergone

• Assay of Beta-lactamase in clinical isolates.

Antibiotic resistance in bacteria has emerged as a medical catastrophe, which results in the rapid spread of bacteria. This occurs due to change in their genetic constituent or by acquiring new resistant genes. Bacteria shows resistance to penicillin is due to the production of extra cellular enzyme Beta-lactamase. The enzyme deteriorates the antibiotic by biochemical reactions, which leads to rapid spread of drug resistant organisms. In the present study the isolated pathogenic organisms were tested for their antibiogram pattern and production of Beta-lactamase by Iodometric Method.
