PROJECT#1

Title : Code Optimization Tool

Client : Scanspect

Operating System : Windows XP

Position : Java Developer

Environment : Eclipse, Struts Frame Work, Hibernate.

Description:-

Basic functionality of this project is to support activities and processes of an S/W Organization. In this project, I worked on different modules like Projects Module, Job Module, Tickets Module,User Profiles. Coding was done using Extreme programming methodology where in we write tests to test methods in these modules. As part of support, we fix bugs and sometimes we do enhancements as per client direction. As part of implementation, we developed html view/edit pages using decorators, parsed xmls to load configuration files, mapped xml data to database tables and created and deployed JSPs and Bean classes.

Role and responsibility:

Working as a developer in a team that analyze, design and develop the solutions for the project.

Applying Struts Framework, an MVC pattern - based framework, to design Action classes, validation and related configuration for each use-case.

Developing JSP as server side programming for dynamically generating HTML pages.

Using My Eclipse to rapidly generate JSP, Action classes, Hibernate mappings.

Developed Beans, which are called in servlets to delegate the client requests.

Developed the Servlets and java classes for connection pooling.

Description:

Objective of this project is the detail study and analysis of Portfolio Management.

Portfolio Management is used to select a portfolio of new product development projects to achieve the following goals:

• Maximize the profitability or value of the portfolio.

• Provide balance.

• Support the strategy of the enterprise.

A logical starting point is to create a product strategy - markets, customers, products, strategy approach, competitive emphasis, etc. The second step is to understand the budget or resources available to balance the portfolio against. Third, each project must be assessed for profitability (rewards), investment requirements (resources), risks, and other appropriate factors.

Role and responsibility:

As a developer, I was working in coding part for ‘Management Console’ and ‘Creating Portfolio’ modules.
