Quality Technician 01/2011-present Detroit Edge Tool Company Roseville, Michigan

Perform random audits on in process material, setup, program and operate Faro Gage CMM. Perform Visual and dimensional inspection on finished products. Utilize calipers, micrometers, height gages, depth gage, angle gages, and Rockwell machines. Perform 1st pc inspection, communicate Faro report results as well as all inspection results to CNC operators, CNC manager and plant manager. Create, update and maintain quality inspection sheets. Inspect parts from blueprints, contain nonconforming material, ensure proper disposition of all nonconforming material.

Quality Technician 09/2009 – 09/2010 Magna Powertrain, Sterling Heights, Michigan

Responsible for hourly floor inspections, insure material is within customer and company specifications, such as watching for lamination, slugs,,die, scrap, and roller marks, as well as galling distortion, and rust problems. Utilize various dimensional measurement devices including, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, height gages, and optical comparators to determine stamped metal part conformance to blueprint specifications. Perform all aspects of receiving inspection and dock audits including, but not limited to, raw material, component and outside processing items. Perform daily quality verification of all product produced, assembled, sorted, tumbled, and/or packed in the facility. Responsible for final audit of all completed work orders. Ensure all material, outside process certifications and or statistical records are reviewed and attached to in-processing inspection documents. Create, fill-out and record all data from SPC charts, in processing, out-side processing and final processing worksheets, gather documents and inspect parts for PPAP. Perform first and last piece inspection, inspect all material for cracks, splits, voids, shear-rings, burrs or any deformities. Check material for correct run or week date, current engineer level as well as the part number. Material thickness is measured by using micrometers, by using an attribute gage I ensure the proper height of the extrusion. I am also responsible for performing stab pin checks in extruded holes, span, flush, and radius check is performed on stamped parts. Transmission Technician 5/2004 - 1/2007 Jatco U.S.A., Wixom, Michigan

I Performed complete tear down, and subassembly for various transmissions. Inspect transmission for visual wear and tear, rust and any other discrepancies. Inspect drive and driven plates for proper thickness. Check for appropriate height and pressure of sub-assembled drums.
