- Developed a novel synthetic methodology toward hydroazulene framework via Grob fragmentation.

- Researched the construction of a type of spirocycle as a potential β-turn peptidomimetic.

- Synthesized the eastern hemisphere of a bioactive Jatrophane Diterpene which was a potent modulator of multi drug resistance.

- Proposed and constructed a novel mild method to synthesize indolizidine and quinolizidine which were key structural subunits presented in biologically active and pharmaceutically significant compounds.

- Assisted the lab set-up, maintenance, and chemical inventory.

- Mentored Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) founded senior undergraduate students.

TEACH Fellow/Graduate Instructor, Texas Tech University Aug. 2009 -- May 2010

- Taught senior undergraduates Advanced Organic Lab course and received high student evaluation scores.
