In my first position at Ameren, I was able to take over the SAS programming for cost of service (four rate cases in progress) when previous Rate Engineer left the company.

J.Pollock, Inc. (JPI) 2005-2009

Sr. Energy Analyst for consulting firm that provides energy analysis and advice to large industrial, commercial, and institutional clients. JPI represents clients in rate cases, fuel adjustment cases, and market structure proceedings. Responsible for rate and fuel case analysis and exhibits, energy bill audits, analysis of tariffs and rate design issues, tracking energy and fuel markets, and market research of energy costs and trends.

International Profit Associates (IPA) 2003-2004

As a Business Analyst, I performed comprehensive on-site analysis of business operation and finances to help business owners improve their operations and bottom line. Then worked as Sales Rep for St. Louis area, meeting with business owners to discuss business operations, organization, marketing, growth strategies, asset protection, exit strategies, and tax planning.

Ameren Corporation (Union Electric) 1982-2002

As Rate Engineer, responsible for cost of service analysis, rate analysis, and submitting testimony in rate cases. Primary rate design witness in wholesale rate case before FERC, in addition to testifying before the PSCs in Missouri and Illinois. Spent ten years in Corporate Planning/Rates as a Load Research Analyst, where I was responsible for statistical sampling and analysis of load data for rate design and forecasting purposes. As Supplier Quality Auditor, performed on-site audits of major suppliers, during Ameren quality initiative. These audits were key factors in purchasing decisions, and for improving the quality programs of suppliers. Spent three years in Industrial Engineering group, supporting energy delivery construction and service crews. Responsible for analyzing the database of work, time, and material reporting.

Nursing Tech and Ambulance Attendant during last two years of high school and summers for first two years of college. Operating Room Orderly at Boone Medical Center and Columbia Regional Hospital. Worked during graduate school as Nursing Tech and Psychiatric Tech.

EDUCATION

BA in Mathematics and MS in Industrial Engineering from University of Missouri Columbia. Masters’ thesis was based on a cost/benefit analysis of OSHA in the metal fabricating industry, sponsored by the SBA. Teaching Assistantship and Research Assistantship 1980-82.
