Description:

Grasim Industries Limited, a flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group, ranks among India's largest private sector companies, with consolidated net revenue of Rs.202 billion and a consolidated net profit (before extraordinary items) of Rs.27.6 billion (FY2010).

Starting as a textiles manufacturer in 1948, today Grasim's businesses comprise viscose staple fiber (VSF), cement, chemicals and textiles. Its core businesses are VSF and cement, which contribute to over 90 per cent of its revenues and operating profits.

The Aditya Birla Group is the world’s largest producer of VSF, commanding a 21 per cent global market share. Grasim, with an aggregate capacity of 333,975 tpa has a global market share of 10 per cent. It is also the second largest producer of caustic soda (which is used in the production of VSF) in India.

• OO ALV Report is generated to know the non-moving materials in particular period for a particular plant and storage location.

• Developed a ALV report to calculate the cost of delivered material from a particular plant

DATA CONVERSIONS

• Uploaded Material master-consumption, Pricing, and purchase info records from legacy system to R/3 using BAPI’S.

• Developed a batch input program to upload fixed asset details using AS01.

• Developed a smart form to displaying PO details.

• Developed an ALV Report, which displays Delivery details for a range of given sale orders.

• Developed an Interactive Report for material details on basic list, material description, material type and plant details on secondary lists.

• Developed an interactive report to display vendor details on basic list, Purchasing data and bank details on secondary list.

DATA CONVERSIONS

• Created a BDC program to create Vendor Master with reference to the Bank Details by using Table Controls.

• Designed and coded a BDC program to migrate Material Master Data from legacy system to SAP R/3 database.
