ACADEMIC PROJECT :

Title : Polymorphism of Thymidylate Synthase And Susceptibility To Chronic

Myeloid Leukemia.

Location : Mahendra Arts And Science College, Salem, Tamilnadu.

Duration : 2 months (Jan-march).

Description:

This project deals with the Polymorphism of thymidylate synthase and susceptibility to chronic myeloid leukemia. The project study aim to identify possible role of genetic and epidemiological factors in the evaluation that is prognosis and diagnosis of CML. In this project to collect samples from healthy individuals and chronic myeloid leukemia patients. These two samples were centrifuged, to isolate the genetic materials. In these two genetic materials, one is healthy individuals another one is CML patients. After that in these DNA molecules are amplified by using PCR technique. These DNA sequence are tymidylate synthae gene tandom repeat polymorphism. After that in these DNA samples to perform the electrophoresis technique. In these electrophoresis technique to formation of bands, these bands are visualized under UV Tran illuminator .After these bands to analysis the statical method.
