My skills aided in successfully bridging the language barrier between U.S. Forces and their Afghani counterparts. I was able to translate any range of topics; communications techniques, to the employment of the weaponry, to military-style tactics saved time, lives, and greatly contributed to the mission.

I have effectively supported Bayonet Thrust II, the 41 Brigade Combat Team’s Annual Training Exercise, at Gowen Field’s Orchard Maneuver Site in Boise, ID on 10-23 June 2005. I have offered specific linguistic and cultural knowledge that will enhance the 41st BCT’s readiness for their role in the War on terror. The 41st is targeted to deploy to Afghanistan in 2006. I lived and worked in harsh temperature extremes of both hot and cold as only the deserts of Idaho can provide in support of this effort.

Currently I am working in Afghanistan as a translator under WWLR USSOCOM Linguist contract, and I am Fluent in several languages such as Farsi, Dari, Tajik, English, German, Turkish (Iranian Turkish, Turkish Turkey, and Turkmen Turkish), and learning Spanish and Arabic.
