Implemented maintenance management system, improvements in parts room inventory management, developing budgets, and responsible for incoming water, steam, and waste water management. Developed maintenance budgets/staffing, capital plans, and improvement strategy for site.

SC Johnson – Fresno, CA 1997 – 4/16/2010

Manager, Engineering and Maintenance (2007-Present) (Ziploc Plastic Bag Manufacturing)

Added a maintenance team of 10 to my current responsibilities. Budgets added to my responsibilities were a $1.7 million repair and maintenance and a $0.8 million contract services budget. Increased department headcount by 4, which resulted in interviewing and hiring internally. To meet sites needs, the maintenance department took over the planning of Quality, Safety, and Environmental activities and ensured they were documented and filed for audit purposes. Led an engineering team of 5 to support a 24/7/365 manufacturing operation. Managed a $2million dollar capital budget, and a $1.7 million dollar utility budget. Process improvements to add enhancements to the product, improved reliability, and higher efficiencies were completed. Much effort was also done to reduce the amount of electricity used on site. Installed a substation to change the sites electrical rate to transmission.

• 3,000,000 kWh of electricity saved annually ($300,000 annual savings)

Production Engineer (1988 – 1994)

Coordinated Predictive Preventative Maintenance for an industrial site of four production facilities. Process optimization and new technology implementation were key responsibilities. Supported industrial boiler that burned by-product. Manage the pressure vessel and pressure relief device programs for both Styrofoam* and high impact polystyrene plant.
