Developed daily plan for moving an average of 250-600k lbs of freight throughout

Assisted and coordinated in developing the Velocity Program at two locations in the
Midwest, supervising 30+ personnel. This program used the integration of 17 terminals

Implemented safety programs that included conducting daily safety meetings to insure
compliance with DOT and Haz-Mat safety regulations. Also included but not limited to
seatbelt usage, forklift safety operation (three point mount and dismount, 4 inch forklift height during travel, proper use of horns while exiting and entering trailers and yearly retesting for forklift licenses), proper lifting techniques, weather safety procedures, emergency check lists,
lockout – tag out, and a basic development of safety awareness.
Issued driving and written exams to Class A drivers for pre-employment purposes
to union members (Teamster), based on D.O.T. regulations and using the Smith System has a
guide to observe safe driving habits of applicants .
Operated two stage forklift with a weight capacity of 8,000 lbs during dark terminal hours.
Computer proficiency in FMS, AS400 and Internet to generate freight deliveries and pick-
