WORK EXPERIENCE
Warehouse Worker
July 2006 - July 2009
C & S Wholesale Grocers, Inc.
Wholesale Trade/Import-Export
I was employed by C&S for 3 year but unfortunately, the job closed. I learned a great deal working there because I had never worked on a dry side and a refrigerated side of a warehouse before. It taught me to be more diligent in my work ethic.
I drove a stand up forklift to pull orders for customers. I created pallets in order to place customer merchandise on and then once completed, I would shrink wrap the pallets and drive them to the dock to be loaded. I worked on the conveyor belts pulling merchandise that filed down a chute to awaiting teamsters to place on pallets for loading.

I drove a sit down forklift, I gathered up doors and accessories for customers, I loaded and unloaded trucks with pallet jacks, I lifted specialized doors and accessories onto frames, I cleaned up my station after everyday of work, and I assisted in the maintenance of the forklifts.

Retail
Working for Wal-Mart taught me alot as far as the retail business goes and what it means to be customer friendly.
I started out at Wal-Mart as a regular floor associate, restocking shelves, cleaning up the department I was in, assisting other departments when delegated, and within two months, I was promoted to Department Manager, where my duties where ordering merchandise from a Telxon, delegating duties to sales associates, assisting management in operations, becoming Safety Team Leader, planning barbeques and other events dealing with safety, creating floor models for future sales events, and then getting promoted to running receiving and assisting the other assistant managers with the operations of night shift. I worked with motorized pallet jacks, sit down forklifts, assisted in the interviewing process of future employees, and also did employee evaluations.

This job helped me establish a strong work ethic because they believed in my abilities as a worker and as a person. I owe them a great deal. I learned from them the dealings of the metal industry. From roofing, specialized gutters, and metal building
I drove a sit down forklift to pull metal sheets off of shelves to be wrapped and prepared for shipping, I cut metal to specifications required for special jobs, I delegated duties to other employees, I loaded and unloaded trucks (flatbeds), and assisted in the upkeep of the facility.
