Position: Program Manager
Responsibilities:
Design and implementation of control systems utilizing state of art PC control with Visual
Basic and embedded motion controllers.
Achievements:
Intel Flatness Metrology Tool (FMT) was a joint project between Zygo and Fala.
This tool set a new state of the art for reticle flatness measurements. The existing
metrology tools have an uncertainty of 20nm and this tool has improved upon that
considerably - to 12nm. Intel will now use the FMT tool as their measurement
standard for all purchased EUVL reticle blanks. Fala’s part of the tool was the
master controller. All tool control, HMI’s, Recipe Creations, Security, Scripting to
Zygo’s Metropro, and Motion sub system control was done with Visual Basic.
Intel Flatness Control Tool (FCT) was a joint project between Fala and Zygo. This
research tool was designed to measure the distortion caused by an electrostatic

chuck gripping a EUV reticle in a high (.005mt) vacuum. All tool control, HMI’s,
Recipe Creations, Security, Scripting to Zygo’s Metropro, Motion sub system
control and MKS Instrument Vacuum control was done with Visual Basic.
NXP FSI Tool is a wet process tool designed to load, process and unload 200mm
wafer into a Mercury etching tool. It features 4 load ports and a robot. All control
programming was done is Visual Basic and designed to interface to NXP’s shop
floor control software while meeting all SECS/GEM standards.
