$140 million retailer with 15 stores in 3 states
Responsible for budgeting, financial analysis, information systems, cash management, bank financing, risk management, audit preparation, internal and external reporting, budget preparation, information technology, bank and vendor credit relations, insurance negotiations, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, inventory control, internal audit, consumer financing, and 401(k)/ ESOP administration. Lead and manage a staff of 12 and 3 direct reports.
As a member of the Executive Team, collaborate with Senior Management to develop short and long-term strategic planning initiatives that support, meet and enhance profitable growth and business objectives.
· Refinanced the Company three times over six years to generate working capital for growth as well as a substantial reduction in interest costs resulting in a $150k annual savings in latest bank negotiations.
· Established an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that sold 30% of the company to the employees, allowing the owner to take several million dollars out of the Company.
